No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes visit No. 11 Purdue Boilermakers

The Ohio State Buckeyes will take on the Purdue Boilermakers this weekend in one of the most highly anticipated games of the season. The Buckeyes are currently the 3rd ranked team in the nation and the Boilermakers are the 11th ranked team in the nation.

NCAA Basketball Future Odds have the Buckeyes at 4/1 to win the national championship with Purdue at 30/1.

The Buckeyes were the top team in the polls until losing a game recently to 14th ranked Wisconsin. The Boilermakers will have to take on Wisconsin before playing against the Buckeyes this weekend.

The game against Wisconsin will likely have a large effect on this game for Purdue. If the Boilermakers come out on top they will have a lot of momentum when they play against Ohio State. However, if the Boilermakers can’t pull out the victory they will lose a lot of momentum and they could start a losing streak.

The Boilermakers rely on a lot of ball movement for their offense and they are the 18th best team in the nation in term of assists per game. They also have a very solid defense and they have only allowed their opponents to score more than 80 points one time this season.

The one time that the Boilermakers allowed a team to score 80 was against the Buckeyes earlier this season. The Buckeyes won the game by 23 points and looked like the far superior team. Look for the Buckeyes to try to employ a similar strategy to the one they used in their last game against the Boilermakers. This should be a great matchup.
